I received my "new to me" Yashica GSN late last week and went out yesterday to shoot a roll of test film. I'm happy to report that the camera works fine. I spent some time trying to get used to the camera, especially the focus. It's different but I think I'll get used to it fairly quickly.
Here's one of the better images from that roll. It's of an interesting pattern of bolts that I found on the base of a railroad signal tower. This image was shot about 3 feet away from the front bolt. I think the aperture was f5.6
Film was Ilford HP5+, developed in Ilfosol3 for 6.5 minutes.

Looks like you did indeed figure out the focusing. Well done!

Good first effort. Is this also your first rangefinder?

Thanks! Yes, it is my first rangefinder. The focusing is definitely different but I think I'll pick it up fairly quickly. I hope to get another roll shot this coming weekend.
Yeah, this image is in pretty sharp focus. I'd say 1/3 of the 24 exposures on this 1st roll are in OK focus. I hope to improve my average on the next roll.Looks like you did indeed figure out the focusing. Well done!
