Yup, went up to my local CVS and saw that their old printing machine
was gone, their getting a new machine But! no more film printing.
I don't know this doesn't look good but there's other places a little
further away from me that will do it for now.

Last time I used my local CVS for film, the negatives were covered in lint and the prints (besides full of dust spots) were greensih and fuzzy. Most of those places don't have the volume to hire decent people or to keep the chemicals in good shape.

I have always hated CVS's film service.

Precision Camera does excellent work very reasonable prices development ans high resolution scans. I send most of my C-41 to them. You can see some of what they have done for me here.
North Coast Photo Sesrvices also does excellent development ans high resolution scans. I send them my Black and White and E-6, and occasionally C-41. You can see some of what they have done for me here.
Both Precision Camera and North Coast use Noritsu Scanners. I have sent the same roll to both as a test and the scans were very close in tonality and of equal high quality.
If you are looking for inexpensive processing you could use Dwaynes. Their processing is excellent, but scans their are not great. However I'm sure they will do better than anything you got at CVS.

With a bit of luck, every chain store that stops processing film will send business to an independent store that needs that business, rather than it just being a sideline.
