I worked at a wedding hall in Japan for 3 years
Busy day was 6 weddings with 120-300 guests
per wedding and 300 weddings a year

Very, very nice work.
(Although I do hope that is a look of admiration and love in photo 6 that the groom is giving his bride, as it looks a bit like a look of contempt! haha)

I also noticed the serious look of some of the people and sort of played off it ... I can assure you everyone had a great time ... The relationships between the guest took awhile to sort out .. who the mom of the bride was ,that sort of thing .
Unfortunately the bride and groom will not get to see my images of their wedding for professional reasons ... At times I think people wondered who I was related too in the wedding party .... This large white guy running around in a suit in a completely unconventional manner compared to the the main photographer and his two assistants ...

You know, if I were you I'd seek them out say in 5 years, or ten years. And then surprise them with these photos on their wedding anniversary.
It'd be a nice thing to do out of the blue. It'll be one of those things that no wedding couple would ever expect and it could be a nice thing for their wedding anniversary.
And in a couple more decades their grandkids will have more amazing photos of their grandparents' wedding to keep forever. At least until the 'computers' of the future stop reading DNG/JPG files.... or something.

These are nice. Reminds me of my wedding.
For those that say that this looks like a funeral. It ain`t. Japanese weddings are a serious, but enjoyable affairs. It may look sombre, but underneath everyone is excited and happy. Japan is ruled by social rules and roles for every event. The members of a wedding party, especially a traditional wedding, must look serious because this is a life changing moment. I think people making comments like that are lost in the culture divide. The real fun comes after the wedding. The Japanese know how to party just as well as any other culture.
Going to a funeral in Japan is another event ruled by order and precision. I have been two Japanese funerals. This may seem ghoulish, but I enjoyed them because of the dignity shown the deceased and the cultural rituals involved.
