Sneaky (cat!)

Wow, Chris, I can't get over the difference between these before and after shots!

That's a happy, healthy cat!

Yeah, its amazing how much nicer he looks after a little medical care, and three years of abundant food, unlimited love, two human slaves to serve him, and a warm safe place to sleep.

This little kitty is making the news. :)

DON'T CALL ME TIDDLES! Giant cat looks set to break world record after weighing in at 27.5lb
https://www.the-sun.com/news/4491293/giant-cat-weighs-27-5-pounds/

I saw that earlier on Facebook; its been making its rounds on the cat groups there. Those photos are obviously photoshopped; look at the tonal transitions around the cat. The article shows how far journalistic standards have fallen, that they'd publish those photos. Look at the photo below. The cat I'm holding in that picture weighed 23lb, just 4.5lb less than the one in the article. Notice that while my old cat Simba is big, he is not freakishly big like the one in the article, and 4.5lb would NOT account for that kind of size difference!

Last night, we grilled steaks. Filet mignon, Sneaky's favorite. My son bought two of these steaks, nice thick ones. We gave sneaky HALF of one of them and we shared the remaining one and a half steaks.

He should not have been able to eat half a thick filet by himself. There should have been a lot left to save for later. There was not. When the oinking, grunting, and squealing was over there was nothing but a few crumbs left. Now, he's acting bitchy because I won't (can't) add steak to his cat food today.

I fear that one morning I will wake up and find a fat pink pig standing in my living room, and when I ask "Where did you come from??" it will look up and meow.

Last night, I fed Sneaky a can of cat food. He rejected it until I added some leftover steak to 'season' it; then he ate the meat and most of the cat food. A half hour later, he began relentlessly hounding me for MORE food. Every time I went anywhere near the kitchen, he would FLY out there to the counter and stare at me with those imploring eyes!

Chris, I think you've created a monster!

(My Joey expects a little yogurt in the morning when I make my breakfast and the occasional no-salt tuna, but he doesn't expect steak.)

Sneaky will have to talk to him about upgrading his expectations.

Our kitty loves anything salty and fishy; anchovies, anyone? That was the ultimate treat until she had caviar. One time only, but the pouting and sulking went on for days because she didn't get any more. I guess that's really upgrading one's expectations!

Caviar?

Dayyam!

Don't tell Sneaky about that, it'll be his new standard food demand!

Joey is spoiled in other ways. Indeed, it would not be to your benefit or mine for these two to compare notes!

Agreed!

Wow, he is beautiful!

Too bad you don't live nearby. My neighbor has five little yapsters whose services I would gladly recommend!
(is this thread getting a bit dark?)

Well cats are supposed to be cruel bloodthirsty predators. When they have a work ethic, which my cat no longer does, lol. Its been months since his last kill. I remind Sneaky of that when he demands food, but the suggestion that he filthy his paws with labor like some common alley cat is most offensive to His Majesty.
