Do ltm to m mount adapters maintain rangefinder coupling? I know that type 1/2/3 exist for framelines and infinity lock, but how about rf coupling?

I assume you mean LTM to M rather than M42 (which is an SLR mount)? Yes such adapters should not impact RF coupling or else they are just chocolate teapots, see here https://www.rangefinderforum.com/node/84862

Just make sure you don‘t mount M39 SLR lenses and you will be fine.

Not necessarily. I bought a 90 mm LTM-M adapter from Jack the Hat. The lenses sat around 30 degrees askew from their official position. This was OK where the entire rear of the lens bears on the rangefinder arm (such as the 9 cm Elmar) but lenses relying on a protruding tongue (85 mm Canon, 13.5 cm Hektor) missed the arm and wouldn't focus via the rangefinder. The 3.5 cm Summaron only focused 6 ft to infinity. Caveat emptor.
