Looks like a lot of wonderful things happen in your kitchen. Roasted veggies have never looked more appealing!

On the Peterson's cover of my copy of "Bert Stern : Photo Illustration". MASTERS OF CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY.
I own the entire set, recommended.
The famous "Smirnoff Vodka Martini in front of the Pyramid of Giza" in Egypt. Shot with a Hasselblad 1000F, 135mm lens, prolly an Extension Tube? He set the camera on a book in the sand. This is a mucho famous advertisement, Stern felt he could not pull this off in a studio. So Smirnoff paid him to go do the real thing! Love it
Vince, your photos with the 1000F have this same kind of retro vibe to my eye. Magnificent!

Kind of amazing what one can do with olive oil, freshly-ground pepper, garlic, balsamic vinegar - and fire! Sometimes I wonder if fire is one of cooking's magic ingredients.

An implied camera! Love the use of pattern and light too.
Reminds me of an Ansel Adams response to someone who complained about the lack of people in his works: He asserted that there were always two people: The photographer, and the viewer.

Maybe I should start to put together all the photos I've done in our kitchen and perhaps continue along this road. Like a mini-project of sorts? The light is so nice in the morning and late afternoon, I haven't seemed to run out of things to photograph in that part of the house.

I've never thought about an onion skin in that light before, very cool.
Love the idea of kitchen/food theme, but I looked under the sofa cushions, and failed to come up with a Hassy CFV II-sized pile of loose change, so if I'm going to contribute, I'll have to think of some other way.

You know I hadn’t seen an onion skin in this light before either - until tonight that is! Literally my wife had just finished cutting up this onion and I walked to the opposite side of the counter, looked down and saw the light passing through the skin.

My post might have been worded poorly. It was adopted but not by me. A crushing burden but off my chest.Never had a 203FE before - how do you like it? Any photos yet?
My poor man's substitute might be something like a Bronica EC-TL? Nah.
