I am listening to my original LP of the O'Jay's/Back Stabbers. On Philadelphia International Records. I was a major soul fanatic when I was 8 years old, the sounds of my youth!

Last night, the wife and I listened to some early Beatles and The Band. I also listened to some Wolfgang Muthspiel but my wife zoned out on that. I'm the jazz fan, she's not. Not even close.

It is Lee Morgan night here. What a great sound he had. Big energy in his playing. I try to sound like him, but he was one of a kind.

I get in musical moods. I miss the old days (my old days). I’ll remember a face, a snippet of a song, something I saw on TV and then I’ll be off to youtube to see if I can track down my old memory.
Shortly after the prime of the Rat Pack generation of singers a new group of guys stepped into the spotlight. Of course there was the King, Elvis Presley and Tom Jones (who is still out there performing today) but there were other guys too. One such guy was Engelbert Humperdink. The man was a sharp dresser, had the long sideburns thing going for him, and most importantly, he could sing!
All the best,
Mike

on day few years ago, i was assigned to video an Taiwan Presidential Rally event, the political party was the one i resented,
but i was working for the company, i have no choice...then the crowd on stage and off stage started to sing this song, 'Tian Mi Mi' ( Sweet as Honey)...
Suddenly i felt kind of Sad, i felt it was an incredibly sad song...
the song Was an Indonesian old folk song some how got very popular singing by Teresa Teng of Taiwan ( 1953-1995) ( She was popular in China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan), i'll find the original later
somehow Michael Cimino (dir. Deer Hunter) put this song in the end credit of his movie 'Enter the Dragon'
this is a dynamic covering from young, talented Thai girls; Aliz ...Teresa died in Thailand in 1995 of severe asthma at the young age of 42
Exc audio quality, i'm totally enjoying my China-US Hivi Swans speakers

I have this LP on original Dunhill Mono and Stereo. A favorite, I love all the Brass Ring LP discs on Dunhill but the last one. All give me pleasure, and have for many years. The Brass Ring "The Disadvantages of you" LP Dunhill records 1967

I take it you're talking about the Quadraphonic LP on Project 3 records as the one that doesn't work for you?
All the best,
