Yokosuka Mike
Abstract Clarity
One English-language expression that I've never learned to say in Japanese is "It's hot, but it's dry heat" 😛
What's the Yokohama must-have food and onsen scene like?
Jeff, we've never heard of the expression "dry heat" around here. We're only familiar with humidity. 🙂
The Onsen scene in Yokohama is practically nonexistent. Izu peninsula and Hakone are the nearest places to Yokohama with an abundance of Onsens.
Must-have food: I eat a lot of Chinese food. There's a Chinese restaurant on every corner and plenty more of them in-between. There's also an abundance of Thai, Indian and Korean, restaurants too. Curry rice and tempura is popular. The Noge district is well known for their Hormone (guts) and Yakitori restaurants. The food scene in Yokohama is vast and diverse.
All the best,
Mike
