Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

No plans, too hot, too stormy, to crazy weather and…too lazy myself!

PS: perhaps sitting with some music in the background and browsing a photo book in my hands…
 
Not sure really, apart from

- scan a roll of Adox HR-50 I shot as a test last week
- finish going through some pics from my daughter’s graduation last week

Anything I shoot this weekend will be Monochrome and Apo-Lanthar 50

Will more than likely be scanning in the backlog of negatives I’ve accumulated over the past few months and sorting out what’s still to get dev’d
 
Seven of us old friends (heck, we're old people) will rent a van and cross Tokyo bay on a car ferry then spend 3 days exploring the Bōsō Peninsula (Chiba Prefecture, Japan) . I'm the only one in the group hauling cameras and taking pictures. The other members are all girls and they're more interested in eating seafood and shopping at farmers markets and fishing ports.

We'll stay 2 nights at a tradition Japanese style Inn Ashikaso Inn

There's a lot of nice seacoast on the Bōsō Peninsula and some nice lighthouses. One lighthouse is supposed to be walking distance from our Inn.

Nice scenery, terrific seafood and good friends, should be fun!

Not this weekend, but, . . . On the weekend of the 17th and 18th Banks, OR, is holding a BBQ, truck and tractor pull and, wait for it, a combine demolition derby. How many chances are there in life to witness a combine demolition derby? Ha! How many chances are there to even see a combine?? But a combine demolition derby?? Off the charts. Eat your hearts out! I will do all in my power to be there with camera(s).

That's what's happening out here in rural NW Oregon for fun. ;o)
 
OK, just in case some of you, a very few, may believe I am making this up, here is the photo proof. Who would ever want to miss this spectacle? OK, the drawing of the purported combine demolition derby is suspect. I am not sure if that is two combines in the demolition derby or in flagrant delicto. You never know what combines will be up to in August, it's their breeding season. Only in America.

They have a combine demolition derby each year in Lind, WA (Central Washington/Columbia Basin, east of the Cascades).
