It isn’t intentional! Sorry it’s been a long time between drinks.I love the way you are drip feeding us these.

As usual for me, a late return to this thread. And lo, behold! more new images...
For me this is one of the most charming images of the entire thread. For what it represents. I hope the descendants of these deer are still to be seen near the hotel. Not that I will ever find out, but it defines something I consider as very precious, and I thought the USA had lost.

I hope things are going ok for you.It isn’t intentional! Sorry it’s been a long time between drinks.
Just know that we think these are great when they appear.
Kodachrome still does it.

Wonderful images, as usual.
Uncle Ansel would be proud of you!!
Floating down the Merced, is something I've always regretted not doing in my life.
I had a Nikkor 35/2.8 but I found the results it gave me to be distinctly meh! Eventually I sold it and bought a very old 35/2.0 which I used for several decades. I still have this lens, it lives on one of my Nikkormats, and I now and then I make images with it, sadly not as often as I should. Too much gear, too little time, too many other things to do in my life. The usual story.
Quick question from the top of my head. Just curious. Have you stayed in contact with any of your fellow travelers from all those years ago??
I still get Christmas cards from three American friends I made in New Mexico and Texas during my two stays in the USA in 1979 and 1982. Young'uns then (like me), now all retired and relocated to Florida or Arizona to sit out comfortable old age and enjoy tall cool drinks with paper umbrellas on sticks in the glasses, by the pool. As the Romans said, "tempus sure fugen fugits".

#USA30-37 That cool blue shadowed face of Halfdome over the snowy approaches. Stupendous, almost abstract.
