An interesting, dark and surreal radio monologist in a vein similar to Kafka was Joe Frank, He started in NYC doing broadcasts on WBAI and then moved to the West Coast. Plagued with bad health, an active mind and a wry and twisted sense of humor he generated a number of radio broadcasts. Most were an hour, some a half hour. Here is one of possible interest called, appropriately "Photography". This link should work if you want to explore the world of Joe Frank:
