Because of the archer statue on the radiator cap I am guessing this is an old Pierce-Arrow, down at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, CA.

I am really dating myself -- I remember a show in the '60s on American TV, "My Mother The Car" starring Jerry Van Dyke. The car was a Pierce Arrow. I think it was very loosely based on a 1930's Ford, but it was a quite extreme Ratrod, so it was difficult to tell...

The Wikipedia entry says that, it's true -- but I am pretty sure it was a Pierce Arrow -- I wouldn't have even heard of a PA other than that show. (And I'd never heard of a Porter until I saw your note!)No..it was a Porter !

I would say a Renault 10, see sliding rear windows and the remains of trim on the sides.
The Simca 1000 looks similar but is rather more 'go faster'.
In the UK there is the Festival of the Unexceptional, it is a potential prize winner

Agreed, it is not a Simca Mille. But I thought that Simca brought out a larger sedan to follow the Mille. I was unaware Renault made any large rear engined cars. I thought they quit with the Dauphine and the Caravelle/Floride. I stand corrected. You are right, it is the 10. This would have followed the Caravelle/Floride. Bon.
