I own a 1928 Model A Fordor color rose beige, a leatherback. I’m the second owner of the car. It has the non safety glass windows except the front windshield has safety glass. There is a story to the safety glass front windshield.
It was in our wedding in 1977 and several others asked to use it as well. Drove it to the hospital to bring each of our children home. When they were young and got fussy we would take a short drive and almost immediately they would fall asleep!
It really isn’t a classic as Henry Ford made so many of them. It was for average people like me!
Did you know you can take the shift stick in third gear, pull up on it and you can shove it up to the dash. I understand it was meant to allow the girl to sit next to the driver and cuddle, maybe keeping warm during the winter as the Model A didn’t have a normal heater, unless you consider the exhaust manifold a source of heat!
