This Porsche reminds me of the video game „Need for Speed Porsche“. Are Porsches or Mercedes‘ the Leicas in cars?
I think Mercedes, since they more or less invented the automobile like Leica the 35mm camera 😉

I'd put Porche as Leica and Mercedes as Hasselblad.

When we‘re talkin‘ vintage classic cars you might be on to something: Form factor and speed wise, vintage(!) Porsches are smaller, lighter and faster. Mercedes‘ are tradintionally luxurious, heavy limousines, thus Hasselblads! It is always a matter of perspective, isn‘t it?I'd put Porche as Leica and Mercedes as Hasselblad.

Nice photographs of beautiful iron!
I own a 1928 Model A Fordor color rose beige, a leatherback. I’m the second owner of the car. It has the non safety glass windows except the front windshield has safety glass. There is a story to the safety glass front windshield.
It was in our wedding in 1977 and several others asked to use it as well. Drove it to the hospital to bring each of our children home. When they were young and got fussy we would take a short drive and almost immediately they would fall asleep!
It really isn’t a classic as Henry Ford made so many of them. It was for average people like me!
Did you know you can take the shift stick in third gear, pull up on it and you can shove it up to the dash. I understand it was meant to allow the girl to sit next to the driver and cuddle, maybe keeping warm during the winter as the Model A didn’t have a normal heater, unless you consider the exhaust manifold a source of heat!
I see I’m listed as a veteran. And yes I’m a Vietnam combat action veteran.

I just remembered a car from the 60's that I've never seen since, not on the streets or anywhere else. It's probably not a classic, but it was strange enough. Maybe they all fell apart or were too ugly to save. Has anybody seen a Ford Anglia in the last decades?

Maserati Merak SS (production 1972–1983)

This is the first and probably the last time that I'll see one of these on the road.

There's a whole lotta white in this picture. I wish the car was a different color. Oh well, it is what it is!

You are right about that - most likely the only one you will ever see. WOWMaserati Merak SS (production 1972–1983)
