What if I told you guys I did a little cheeky comparison between a zuiko 28mm f2.8 on my ZF and a Zeiss biogon 28mm f2.8 on a Leica M10.....
....and the Zuiko is at least as good, if not better in pretty much all metrics.

Preaching to the choir here. But that is one lens I dont have. I heard the Pentax 28mm f3.5 was better than the Olympus 28mm f3.5. But then the Oly 2.8 is supposed to be better than the 3.5. IDk just rambling. Guess I should look for a 28mm f2.8!

I have both - both nice lenses. When I used to have plenty of free time, I was writing up things like this:Preaching to the choir here. But that is one lens I dont have. Well, I will follow your findings regarding the optical merits of the lil' 2.8 28mm versus the Zeiss with interest. I managed to snag a clean, late copy of the f2 28mm Zuiko recently and am in the process of evaluating it. Should be great – but I could see myself getting a 2.8 or 3.5 as walkabout or hiking or having-a-yellow-filter-attached-28mm in addition. Also incoming: a clean, late version of the 50mm Macro 3.5, and a late version of the 35 f2.8. (And here my spree will end. For the time being ;-))

The 25mm is the standout ZM, most reviews of the 28mm comment that itis substantially less good than the 25mm.
Did you test for flare and ghosting?

By the way, not sure if this is the right place, but then again, is there a more deserving place for a heads-up like this: if anyone is looking for a 50 1.4 Zuiko higher than 1.1 million, there is one for sale in Germany (Ebay Kleinanzeigen) for 200 Euro including a OM-2n in working order. The lens has been modified by OM Labor in Frankurt, Germany (aluminum housing, polished, optics clean and checked). I have no affiliation with the seller, but my spider senses tell me he's legit.

the Pentax M42 28mm & 35mm f3.5 are crazy good.Preaching to the choir here. But that is one lens I dont have. I heard the Pentax 28mm f3.5 was better than the Olympus 28mm f3.5. But then the Oly 2.8 is supposed to be better than the 3.5. IDk just rambling. Guess I should look for a 28mm f2.8!

No. Strangely the 28/2.8 and 28/2 are better than the 25mm in the C/Y lenses. Is this also true for the C/Y lenses?
The ZM 25mm was a new design and Zeiss really outdid themselves with that lens.
