Help! Need quietest camera possible....

I'd just use digital. Many mirrorless cameras--including my Nikon Z8--don't even have a mechanical shutter, and so are completely silent (except possibly the sound of an autofocus motor--but you can easily manual focus silently--unless you actually set it to simulate a shutter sound so you know you've made an exposure. Far quieter than any film camera, even my Leicas.

Alas, his camera was too loud, the skittish colt startled and kicked, and off came OP's head, leaving a noisy camera still in his hands. 😂
