Have you tried Buyee.jp for buying from Japanese auction sites? I’ve used it for small parts and accessories, consolidated into one package.
Post-Brexit, this has many of the same issues as buying from Japan for us lonely islanders. We're a very isolated little market now.Rather than across the Pond, what about across the Channel? From the EU?

Not being in customs union means ordering from EU takes longer and more expensive
There also seems to be a dearth of decent second hand equipment in UK over past few years
Not sure why but it's really noticeable
Sent another email.to MW Classics, still no reply
Doesn't he wants to sell his stuff or what?
It's really infuriating
not many advertised at this time Bill.Rather than across the Pond, what about across the Channel? From the EU? I have no idea where, but perhaps some of the folks on the continent could help with recommendations?

I looked to Japan to add a Nikon F4 to my F3.......................The main problem with buying anything from Japan on eBay is that all the listings are MINT++++++++++ LOOK!, but usually the lenses turn out to be raddled with fungus and haze..............................
Those listings state the issues... why is that a problem?I looked to Japan to add a Nikon F4 to my F3
eBay was a disaster.....🤢
[Near MINT] Nikon F4 £134.16
There is a leak in the LCD screen of the viewfinder
【Near MINT】 Camera Body £147.14
-Finder: ( Fungus ) - Slight
[NEAR MINT ] Nikon F4 £160.99
Optics..There is thin fungus.
There is a slight liquid leak on the LCD
[ Exc+5 ] Nikon F4 £114.84 + Postage: £26.83
There is LCD leakage, and the display is somewhat difficult to read.
No way I'd deal with those sellers..!!
Bill, the flight from the west coast of Canada to LA alone is more than the price of the lens. Are you going back to summer in Canada perhaps? What about a quick flight down to LA and get something from Stephen in person? Know anyone in the great white north who might be traveling to the UK soon? Perhaps have it shipped to them and they play mule?
Tapping out of ideas here.

That’s a shame. Peter Walnes was a thriving and respectable business for many years with extensive magazine advertising.![]()
'Utterly dishonest' serial conman spared jail because he's old
Walnes has been warned that should he commit any offence again, age will not protect him from prisonwww.cornwalllive.com
