What have you just BOUGHT?

Dear Board,

Speaking of plastic fantastic, I picked up a Vivitar 4000S in perfect working order in a nice Lowe gadget bag for $ 27.00 and change.

I plan on using to tomorrow to record the great snowstorm we are supposed to get.

Plastic fantastic indeed, a fully manual camera made by Cosina with a PK mount, nice catch.

Dear Leon C,

What even nicer is that I have a modest selection of Pentax and Chinon K mount lenses and full selection from 28 to 300mm of M42 SMC Super Takumars along with the Pentax M42 to K adapter that can be used on this camera. Most of the lenses came with low-priced eBay and Shopgoodwill camera purchases. The bargains are getting harder to find but thankfully I'm pretty well set.

Speaking of plastic fantastic, I have this one coming my way.

Check out the photos, despite being a P&S most of the photos is actually in focus, and captures that 90s vibe perfectly.

Good $24 spent I think!

I have a Leitz 21mm F4 Super Angulon-M arriving next week. I know earlier versions can be mounted on a Barnack with the M mount removed. It would be perfect on my IIIf.

Ah, love a Certo, the original ones anyway - nice build quality and a lovely bit of quirk to them..
I got one of these (Dollina III, Radionar) that's in bad shape. Shutter works fine but the RF is very dim and the viewfinder -- quite dark and unusable. I'm afraid to try and take it apart to clean it; too many things to remove. But hope springs eternal, since it's a really neat camera.

you guys got me! could not resist and just got a Super Dollina II on ebay for 13,50€. Tessar 3.5 and 1/200th Cludor. I think it is a 1949 model. Not pre-war, but not really post-war yet imo. Does not have all the DDR symbols on there. It must be after the russian took all (or most of) the materials and tools but still a nice year to have in the collection. I have a soft spot for the in between years. The wee hours of DDR and BRD.
Hope the split image RF will be working allright as i am slowly getting annoyed by the very dim RF on the Weltini i have. This will probably replace the Welta in the coat pocket.

Used XR Rikenon 35-70mm f/3.5 lens
