Nikon F6 serial numbers - post yours!

I have my late father's F6 body 0006644

In 2016 I bought a used Nikon F6. I paid $799 for it. Adorama was selling it through Amazon. I couldn't believe my good luck when it showed up. It looked brand new; not a scratch or scrape on it. And it worked perfectly.

It has a serial number of 0008166, which at first worried me. I have been reading about the "Battery empty" bug and of course I became worried until I realized I have the opposite problem. My camera continuous shows the battery is fully charged, until it is not. Then the camera will make a funny sound, and advance the film one frame. I take one last photo. Then nothing. Camera down. Nothing for me to do but reach for the back up batteries and carry on.

I use Watson CR123A rechargeable batteries. Not the best but I prefer rechargeables to non-rechargeable lithium batteries.

I am looking forward what others have to say about the F6.

Mine has the exact same problem. The meter always shows full battery...then boom: dead camera.
