thanks todd.
raid, this is my first roll of film with the lens so hard to compare with others.
it is surprisingly sharp and i am quite pleased about that. i was going to use it for my one light portrait session today but my model cancelled. i have this idea that sonnar lenses are excellent for people pics and wanted to see for myself but will have to wait for that now.

Excellent, I can't wait for mine to arrive. Of course the time better come up before I spend the money I have saved to pay for the repair on something else.

Very nice, Joe. I think I missed something, but I guess you now have a IIa.

Joe, I like the pic with the windows. It also looks like your new IIa is a fine performer. I hope that you enjoy using it.

Nice! Thanks for the presentation -- The Sonnar never fails to impress. Is the the post-war coated model or the original one?

not sure.
i think it's a pre war, carl zeiss jena chrome over brass lens.
no idea as to coating.

I'm sure it is coated, Joe. Hold it under a lamp and you will see blue and purple reflections. I have an uncoated f2 collapsible lens that looks glassy/white with no coloured coating.
Serial number around or above 3,000,000 on a Jena lens would put it after the war I believe.

some blue reflections, maybe a single coated lens?
it's amazing how sharp that lens is considering the cleaning marks on it.
if i ever get a second lens for the lla i might send this one off for a good cla.

Joe: I like them all, but especially the first two. I generally don't like to use developers/dilutions that have that short a time for development, but damn that worked out fine.

me either, but i wanted to use the ilfosol s developer. i think i read here that ilfosol was good with the gekko 100.
next time i will try ddx and then hc110 and maybe rodinal.
it would be good to like this film cause it's pretty cheap.

Rodinal is cheap too. Sounds like a good combo.
