I am no longer in a position to test this question but there must be someone who can.
I have a Bessa R (and an R2) and it feels to me like it is not much bigger than a Leica CL? I did have a CL but it has gone for sale and i can't do the comparisson, I do feel how ever that the R with 35 Skopar is a pretty small package. My reason for selling the CL in the end was because both the bessas felt much easier to use and no that much bigger, I use the 40mm Nokton on my R2 and have to say i do love it.
