Anyone Using Microtek i800?

Is anyone using the Microtek i800 with or without the Pro pacakage? I'm looking to upgrade from my Microtek ArtixScan 4000t 35mm scanner and Epson 3170 which I use for 6x6 and 6x9, and would like to do both 35mm and 120 in one unit. It looks like it does things better than the Epson V700 and the Pro package adds lots of helpful software. It's also cheaper. All input will be welcome.

Might want to wait until the M1 is released, though it'll be more expensive than the i800. Street price might be near the V700, but it might perform better. We'll see. Some more about it came up in this thread:

I had read on another site (large format photography I think) that the i800 was very slow... *shrug*

At this point, I wouldn't invest in an i800. If you have a strong desire for a flatbed and a Microtek, wait for the M1 and then some independent tests to show up on the internet. Then choose between that and the Epson V series. A person who is supposed to get an early evaluation copy recently said they were expecting a test sample maybe at the end of this month. Microtek has been known to miss their promised released dates in the past, so there is a possibility there could be a delay.

I have my eyes on a Canon 8600F, it costs 165 to 190 Euro here and looks promissing.

I'm going take all your advice plus that of my wife's and just wait a bit. In the interim I'm going to get one of Doug Fisher's adjustable height MF negative holders for the 3170 and see just what it can be tuned to do with my Yashica 124 MatG 6x6 and my Moskva 5's 6x9 negs. And fortunately, lately my Microtek 4000t 35mm scanner is producing the best scans I've seen in the years I've had it and is giving me stunning results with my G2 using Fuji Superia 100, and believe it or not, some Kodak Gold 100 and 200 I've had laying about long after its expiration date. So, thanks again for the sage advice.
