Some nice shots there. I love fighting ice oh I mean fires in the winter.
Joe colour (note the Canadian spelling) can work with fires very nicely.

airds, I don't often shoot colour film. I grabbed what I had and ran out the door to find the fire. However, as John's photograph demonstrates very nicely, colour can be very effective in these types of situations.

Fire says colour, but I prefer B/W. It keeps it gritty and real...
Some of the most magnificent photos I have ever seen of firefighters and fires is in a book called FIRE! It is a pictoral account of the FDNY in the 70's. All B/W - beautiful, haunting and touching.
Here are two of mine and the cover of the book. For those interested I can supply the ISBN. The B/W would have been taken with my trusty OM1 which I used to take to fires when I could.
