Hello everyone. What a great photographic site.
I am Eagerly awaiting my Yashica 35 electro to be delivered.
This will be my first rangefinder.
Lately I have enjoyed shooting film again with my nikon slr in manual mode and scanning with my epson flat bed.I really like the look and the grain.
I have found some wonderfull yashica sites for info and I have my 6v battery and spring already to go.
Just wanted to say hello to all in the forum.I am sure I will have a few questions to post.
Thank You-Dave62

Welcome Dave, you`ll love your GS/GSN Electro. It has a fantastic lens, the results will blow you away. Beware, you can`t stop at ONE.

Hello Dave. I've enjoyed this site alot since I joined, lots of good info available.
Also, I think that Dfin might be right, I bought one, now, I have another. They are very nice cameras to shoot with, and have great optics. I hope you enjoy yours as much I'm enjoying mine.

Hi Dave, Welcome. I'm pretty new myself. I've had a Yashica GS Electro 35, one of the originals with cold shoe for probably 10 years. I haven't used it much yet, but I always love using it when I do. It's so solidly built, and you can tell they were trying to make a quality product at a fair price. Not the lowest price and all-else-be-damned.
(Just don't tell the Leica guys)
I don't want another Electro. I want an earlier, mechanical Yashica. ...and a Canonet GIII. I'm looking forward to getting back into film esp. B&W.

G`day Dave, I`ve just had my Electro GS out for a play, a friend gave me a Hoya screw in lens hood this morning , so I`m keen to give it a run. I`have been using a scew in rubber hood, but have noticed vignetting at the extreme corners. I almost always use Fuji 400 Superia, and the colours really leap out at you. I might try some CN400 this weekend, thats the beauty of a Yashica, your not afraid to take it out, good luck with yours, Alan.

Hey Dave, I'm new, too. I've recently acquired a GSN and a GT, and am eager to share the results as well.

Welcome, some of my favorite pics are with a GSN. Soon you will have tried every Yashica model there is.

Hello Dave, hope you enjoy your Electro 35. A very addictive classic and about the best value for money camera around. Be careful! it will open the door to RF and once opened, it is hard to close!
