This is my newly acquired black Leica III fitted with an Ultron 28mm f1.9 and Voigtlander 35/28mm viewfinder. Can't wait to see its first load of pictures.

Nice covering! Do you mean the customer service of Leica itself did the job or just the local dealer? How much did they charge for it? I didn't know they have this services. It looks just like the MP Classic box-set. Interesting, like it!

the customer service changed the standart cover to the vulcanit like,
which has a nicer grip and looks more classic!

Yes, the Leica Customer Service in Solms did it. I`m not sure how much it cost, the normal cover was uneven and I asked them to fix it up and change it to vulcanit. they were very friendly and didn`t charged anything!

Agree that it's the most sexy combination I ever see. The only thing I can;t get along with M4 are its plastic end levers. By removing them, Such a M4 is perfect.

thank to roundg too! I too hated the feel of the plastic tip advance lever so I wanted to change it, and at the same time the frame and self timer lever. The summicron makes it a nice pair but I must say, the day I will lay my hands on a first generation chrome summilux 35mm, this thread will see some serious p0rn!

That's how I'd like my M7! But I'd still like it exactly like the MP - MP lever, serial # on the top plate, no red dot. Black or chrome, either is fine!

That hood's a tad pricey, but at least it's metal...
Everyone keeps telling me the square one is more effective...I just can't beleive how flimsy & ugly it is...

Those M4s are killing me.

Yes, the serial no. of the round metal hood is 12504. I got it in a second hand camera shop for approx. US$75. e-bay does sometimes has these hoods available and cost approx. US$90 to $110, according to the conditions. I also love it more than the plastic square one.

I always liked chrome better, but your beautifully brassed black paint M4 doesn't make my life easier ... ;-)edho said:This is my black paint M4 with Summicron 35mm at home.
