Does anyone know for sure if the Leica UVa filters are multicoated to reduce reflections? I'm wanting to protect my Noctilux glass and want something that will cause minimal reflections in difficult situations. Of course I'd rather not use a filter on such a lens, but I also want to protect my investment.
From what I understand, only B+W make a 60mm multi coated option...?

Cheers,
Tim

Can't attest for their multicoating, but I tend to believe they have (and given their pricing they better to be so....). Would be highly unlikely that positioning themselves at the high end Leica wouldn't coat their branded filters while much cheaper alternatives from middle-range manufacturers proudly bragging my their multicoating...
I have E39 Leica UVa on my 50mm 'cron, so far did not notice any severe impact on flare resistance, however, perhaps hadn't yet have the chance to expose the camera to any adverse flare-prone conditions...

IIRC, Leica filters are made by Schneider B+W but sold for 50-100% more.

B+W 60mm UV MRC is $59.95 at B&H, the Leica equivalent is $108.95...
