Hi
Could anyone share images taken with the G2 21mm lens?
What is the used price of such a lens?
Is it worth the use price in terms of what the lens can deliver?
many thanks

You should be able to find one for 600-700 (ebay and KEH have one at each end). For a lens of this quality, the price is pretty inexpensive. This is without doubt, my favorite lens on the G2. I have one image in my gallery.

Some great examples above...
In the UK, used prices from dealers are around 400UKP with the viewfinder, boxed. I got mine from ebay a few weeks ago for 300 'ish - can't remember exactly.
Haven't had a chance to use it much - but did some shooting last week and have grown to love this little marvel. Well worth its price tag...
If I can successfully upload the shots then see below for a couple more...sharpness is excellent - the 'cavern' shot was wide open at 1/10ssec handheld...bit too much detail to compress nicely as a jpg but you'll get the idea...

do you guys feel that there is too much distortion or minimal distortion from the G2 21mm....?
i borrowed a CV 15mm before... i feel that the distortion at the sides is too much for me. (sadly i dont really like it)

Owning both the G2 21mm and the CV 15mm, I don't think that you can really compare them at all. The CV 15mm is pretty extreme! As far as distortion on the 21mm, what distortion???? They are both very nice lenses, each with it's own use.

No comparison bewteen the CV 15 and the G 21. The G 21 has virtually no distortion. OK, it's quite a bit easier to design and build a good 21mm lens vs. a 15mm at a price that is affordable to some. How many RFF users own the new Zeiss 15mm Distagon???

Although I've decided to go digital with the M8 I've decided to keep one film body and lens in use -- my G2 and Biogon 21. It's a wonderful lens and has produced some of my favourite photographs. I haven't got around to uploading them to this site yet. For now, here are links to photographs I know I used the 21 on...

Ray and RF-Addict, thank you!
Most of the photographs were taken on Fuji Astia. I scan and convert to B&W in Photoshop and have found Astia to give me the best results. The one in the Natural History Museum and the swimming pool were on Ilford XP2. Speakers Corner, Hyde Park was from black and white negative (Delta 400, I think) and processed using the DR5 process to give a positive transparency. This is the only one that I was able to scan with any success. For some reason, my scanner has a tough time with DR5 processed film and I don't use it any more.
