I married my (Californian) wife while living in Fürth/Bayern 20 years ago.

The international flavor is one of my favorite things about RFF. In a recent poll, non-U.S. members made up the majority of the Forum.

I have relatives near Dortmund in a little town called Gavelsberg (spelling is perhaps off). My grandmother lived there along with my uncle and other family. I haven't visited since I was 12 years old. Perhaps it is time I see them again soon. Unfortunately my German language skills are poor. Fortunately my wife is a fluent speaker.

Many Germans spend their vacations in Sued-Tyrol in Northern Italy, so it is suitable that Italians get their "revenge" and spend their holidays in Germany!

I am looking forward to using the Contax with different lenses. My first lens willl be a Menopta. One day I may get a Zeiss vintage lens.
