Who set up this poll?? I'm way too high in the list- how about adding 60-70, 70-80 and 80+ categories.

How... YOUNG we feel ???
How... YOUNG we feel ???
I am well inside my 65th year YOUNG !
Well, my avatar shows me in a
self-portrait took at the mirror, in London, UK, in the particularly special year 1968.
I formerly posted my age in the profile details... Then I removed it, feeling
embarrassed to be the YOUNGEST !

I'm 35, which as another poster has said, once seemed old but doesn't anymore.

I thought I'd better grab the opportunity to say that I am 50 now - who knows what will happen in the future !

19 -- Im still a happy teenager..
My camera is younger then me (a bessa R2 from .. 2000?), and both my lenses are older then me (summicron-m 50mm from -82 and teleelmarit-m 90mm from -86(?)).
My avatar is very recent, taken by my father. Im holding my R2 with my 50mm.

Very interesting distribution, we appear more normal that I know I am!! Perhaps it's the size of the data sample that helps.

Simply add the ages of my anastigmats and divide it by the age of my flatbeds, multiply that by the number of enlarger objectives I have and subtract the number of glass plates I have shot, and you know how old I am. Or simply stick me in fixer and my age is half the time it takes me to clear.

Why do the age groups overlap? I just turned 30, and you made me think about whether I should be in the 20-30 or 30-40 group. I didn't have to think about it for too long though.

Well, I'm 20 in October. Time seems to go quicker as I get older which probably isn't a good thing.

Whats amusing is the lack of younger guys and girls on the forum - I suspect other places like "photography on the net," "Nikonians," "FM forums" etc have a much higher amount of younger people than older people using them.
I take it as a good thing. Almost everytime I sign on to POTN or FM forums for a quick scan I see something along the lines of:
"Help - My Canikon is backfocussing! - What should I do?"
or
"Is my 24-105 f4L sharp?" with pictures of a vase, indoors at night, handheld at 1/30, with 15 100% crops
or
"Will more megapixels make my photos better?"
or
"My D40 is too noisy!" following suit with some badly underexposed shots brought back up in lightroom.
It's also probably the reason I choose to spend most of my internet time on this forum - the people are experienced, genuine and we're all on the same playing field.
