Refuses to suffer fools
I know we've done this before, but today is a new day...
Myself:
All in all, not a radical change from my current kit - an additional body for the 28 and a few lens replacements. A whole boatload of money, though.
Luckily, I'm generally happy with what I have!
Myself:
- .72 MP3 BP with Leicavit, framelines modded to include 75 (but not 135)
- .58 MP3 BP with Leicavit
- My current M3 DS - it's a sweetheart
- 28 Cron
- 35 Cron ASPH (have)
- 40 Cron (have)
- 50 Lux
- 50 Noct
- 50 Elmar-M
- 50 Cron Collapsible (have - for the M3)
- 75 Cron ASPH
- 90 Cron (for the M3)
- 135 Elmarit (have)

An all new Leica kit would be obscenely expensive. I'm pretty sure that I would feel ethically uncomfortable with that amount of money spent on a hobby. I'm happy with what I've got. None of it was bought new.

I have what I want, two M7s (0.72 & 0.85), a Bessa R4a, and 15, 24, 28, 35, 50, 75, 90 & 135mm lenses. To be honest, it's more than I need so I have to look over my use for the next year or two and pare down. I have no desire for an M8.

I think you mean to next interglacial, there can be lots of ice ages before next hot spell, last was about 120k years so you also need eternal youth as well.erikhaugsby said:Tri-X to last me through the next ice age.
J12 and M2 keeps me happy, need a CLA on the M4-2

if money were no object, i would keep my present setup but add 2 mamiya 6 bodies, all 3 mamiya lenses and a scanner that could handle medium format.

Like Frank, I have slowly acquired most of my gear, buying it used or receiving the remnants of my father's leica passion. But if I could add any lenses or bodies to my existing M system equipment without remortgaging my home or making my kids go without food, it would be the following 4 items:> M8 chrome body, Noctilux, ZM 85, ZM 15/2.8.
I doubt I will ever obtain any of these lenses, except the noctilux -- which I will obtain when I get my big retirement cheque, though I do not feel I am lacking much now.
I am very grateful for my M system kit as it is. All I do now is tweak the kit a bit lens-wise.

I would have what I have now, plus a 35 lux aspheric.
M3 DS and mint collapsable.
M6TTL with MP V/F, M3 advance lever, 28 Summicron.
MP-3 kit in black w/ 50 Lux aspheric LHSA.
I would never need a lens over 50 for a Leica, so I am set..

Doctors appointment in the morning
...for an exploratory Roto-Rooter look see. If they find anything really bad & really nasty I'll be raiding my 401 (k) plan on Tuesday for some or all of the following...
A seriously nice trio of Available Darkness lenses
A Canon 5D and a seriously long lens, maybe the 24/1.4 & 85/1.2 to go with the trio above
A wheelbarrow full of Linhof Technika gear
A wet darkroom for all of the above + my 6x7 gear
Or perhaps just a wheelbarrow full of film and a darkroom. I really do have all the hardware I need to make all the bad pictures I want to make.
