I got my notice in the morning email, going up to $14.95 per month. However you have the option to keep it at the current rate by going to the annual payment plan. I'm sure no one is surprised, I thought it would happen after a couple years so I'm not too worked up over it. I went to the annual plan and we'll see how long before that's bumped up.

I got the same notice in Australia a few months ago and did the same, went to the annual plan. Tried lots of alternatives, but after 20 years Photoshop just works for me. Only shame is I have to pay for Lightroom which I don't use.

I find LR’s digital asset management (the Catalogue) invaluable. Keywords/tags enable me to find anything. Not sure if Bridge has the same functionality? Also the LR Develop module (including batch processing) is very good - I use Photoshop for the final touches I can’t do in LR. I’m still on LR6/CS6 but considering upgrading when I upgrade my 2012 Mac Mini.

Hmm. I paid my LR/PS 1T monthly a week ago, $9.99/mo.

I just checked the adobe.com website for LR plans. I don't use PS at all, I have no need for it. The current LR only plan listing includes LR, LR Classic, and LR Mobile for ~$144/year, billed monthly at $11.99, or $119.88 billed annually (an ~$25 discount). Or you can get it on a monthly only basis for $17.99/mo. (All $ are US$.) Obviously, paid lump-sum annually is the best deal.

I have other software for individual photo manipulation (like compositing, etc) that does as well as Photoshop for me, so I don't need the more expensive plans like I now have ... I've downloaded and used PS once in the past eight years, deleted it off my computer immediately afterwards. I don't need their cloud storage, never use it. etc.

I don't mind that Adobe is adjusting their price ... it's been the same price since I bought into the subscription model and that has to be a number of years ago now, and everything else in the universe has gotten 30-60% pricier... The increase seems modest for what I use of LR. If I felt it too much, I'd just switch to other software offerings: Given what I've learned about making photos with my current equipment, I hardly use any of the editing tools more than the simplest lighten/darken and crop stuff, and that can be had in a bazillion different apps. 😉
