35mm lens testing

35mm lens ‘testing’.

i am not a meticulous worker, in fact i consider myself a fairly sloppy worker, so
the idea of me doing a lens test might be considered a bit of a joke. so be it.

there are now at my disposal a few canon 35mm lenses and i want to
take advantage of the opportunity as best i can.

as i start this i am also waiting for a 35/3.5 to arrive but i doubt that it will be
here before this has been completed.

the process?

well, so far i have collected the lenses, all 35, all canon, a 1.8/2/2.8 chrome/2.8
black & chrome.

so far i have put together a small table top vignette, with some lenses, a small glass globe, a book, a hat and soon to be a few other small items as subject matter.

my plan is to use ilford hp5 as i am thinking about using this as my standard film
from now on. i will rate it at 400 and develop it in ddx.
the negs will be scanned in my canon fs2710 film scanner and minimally (my normal) processed in photoshop 7.

I’m thinking i might as well keep it as close to my normal as possible.

i prefer the faster films usually.
i was using tri-x for a bit but feel the need to support ilford more.

when i shot medium format i used the delta line of films and just loved the look of delta 3200 rated at 1000/1600 developed in ddx. in medium format i thought that was the perfect film with delta 400 as a back up.
