The Noctilux...both old and new is a vanity lens. Pure and simple. All of the photograph's I love...none not a single one was shot with a Noctilux.

i'm with Eric on this. you haven't given it enough time -- you never do! NO MORE CAMERAS! you're still learning your M2 for goodness sake :bang:

i'm better working fast reflexes and immediate response: digital allows me to hone it.
I found film (especially BW films like Tri-X) much easier to use for fast shooting and immediate response because light usually doesn't change that much within a certain time and wrong exposure settings (+/- two f-stops) are well covered by the dynamic range. On the other hand, I wouldn't trust AE that much (especially under critical light conditions) and the image sensors are less forgivable.
Please show me where the Noctilux prices have dropped!
