Thanks for posting this - definitely a little detail to geek out over.
I guess this means that w can use f/2 with an effective 1/8000 shutter speed, which allows a one stop wider aperture than, say, the GF1 with 40mm. With the 23mm vs 20mm lens it means we can achieve modestly, but not massively, more shallow DOF than the Panasonic.
It's a strange world, in that I get massively more frustrated by the 1/4000 shutter speed limitations on the GF1 than the 1/250 on the Hexar - it's more a function of the time spent adjusting the aperture with the thumb wheel.
