Good choice! I have a couple of the 50/2,5 Color Skopar's, two in LTM and one in Nikon S-mount. What I like in the LTM mount is that they are very much 35 Summicron sized and they do look like these. They have a good solid feel to them and a nice focussing tab. It is a fairly high contrast lens, although not an "aspherical" harshness type. resolution is very high at middle apertures. It also uses 39mm filters which is a bonus for me as I have boxes of these for my 35/50 Summicron's.
Mr kobayashi is a great admirer of the 35 Summicron and the ergonomics of that lens, so the 50/2,5 is a bit of an "ode to 35/2". It is almost disconcerting to use the 50/2,5 if you are used to shooting with pre-asph summicrons. It feels like a 35 but gives you the 50 field of view!
The Nikon S mount 50/2,5 has the same hood as the 45/2,8 Nikon SLR lens. It is a nice little "cap" like hood with a square cut out. very efficient, except that it accumulates bread crumbs if you eat croaissants with the camera hanging around your neck!
