+1 for the CameraQuest M3/M2 Rewind Lever

So last month the price went up from $99 to $126. Now they've gone up to $149?! Are there any pics of the black version? And is it black painted brass or black chrome?

Was looking to buy one for the holidays. Although with the price now at $150, that may be pushing it.

Yeah I would have bought one of these in the past but I can never seem to find one. I have the Leica one on my MP but the knob is so tiny it actually hurts my fingers a bit to rewind. My top plate was already noticeably scratched from the rewind when I got it so I don't really care. But the taller knob of this version is very appealing.

a black paint would be enough to get me to open my wallet ;)

maybe get a wish list going so people can get in line for these when they're produced ?

This might be a dumb question, but what prevents the crank from scratching the top of the body during a rewind operation? I seems to me that if you apply pressure the wrong way while turning, it would scratch the body? Is that the case?

I have sometimes wondered about these, given I am an ex M3 owner. The question I have is that given they must be raised to rotate / wind is there any risk that over enthusiastic winding might cause a collision with the camera top in proximity with the winder thereby damaging the camera top plate. Of course when only the finger and thumb is used instead, this is not really an issue. Overall though it seems like a good idea that has stood the test of time - how long have they been around - what perhaps 15 years?

EDIT: Oops I see someone has beaten me to the punch with this question.

Question: Will they work on the M-A? (It would seem so) But I am not getting this. Why would I want a protruding knob on my precious Leica body?
