1 month trial photos with Epson R-D1s

Eric, I agree with Bill. I enjoyed these a lot...A varied yet cohesive set. Cheers.

Thanks all for enjoy the picture. Really sad that Epson couldn't make a full frame to compete with M9. For r-d1, 28mm is good for street shooting. For candid shooting, 40mm or 35mm is suitable.

yeah, i really enjoy using the R-D1 out of all my camera's so i feel the same way too. Even if they don't make a FF rangefinder i would still be satisfied if they provide a newer model with a higher pixel count.

For a RD-1, when you put the selector switch to 28, does it offer you the 28mm framelines or does it offer the cropped focal length framelines?

It's the correct frameline for a 28mm lens on R-D1. The view corresponds quite well to a ~40mm lens on a similar film camera i.e. a Bessa R3a.

the whole viewfinder is a 35mm so if you shoot with an 21/24 you can use the whole viewfinder. it's still the best viewfinder i have ever used with its 1:1 mag.

I'm wearing glasses. I think r-d1's 28 frame line is corresponding to the 24/25 mm lens. The 21mm lens is wider than the frame line.

Summer is coming. Today tried IR720 filter, the effects are not too bad, which are added to my album. Here are some examples:
