Canon LTM 100/3.5 on the bay, one hour left

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
I paid $40 just for the 34mm reverse cap. Probably paid $20 for the hood, 3 years ago. (Side deal from an eBay seller who bought a large kit and broke it up.) So I think this is very fair value for the complete kit.

Nothing has been "modified" on the hood. Earlier ones were shipped with a 34mm screw-in Series VI adapter. Those can use this reverse cap. Later ones were shipped with a 36mm screw-clamp Series VI adapter.

I find the reverse caps very handy, as they cap up the lens when you have the hood reversed for storage. There were earlier reverse caps made to go over the slip-on 42mm Series VI and 50mm Series VII adapters. So if you ever find a Canon RF lens cap that's 2mm too big, it's really a reverse cap.

The 48mm reverse caps are much more common than the 34mm or 40mm ones. (The 40mm one is for the 135/4 lens.)

My Canon 100/3.5 is much sharper and contrastier than my Elmar 90/4, but that's not really a fair comparison, since the Elmar is an early black paint one, uncoated, with plenty of cleaning damage. This Elmar is flarey with the sun anywhere over the horizon! (But the Elmar is flattering. So is my beloved Summar.)

Oh, the reverse cap was the side deal, not the hood.

No question this Canon RF stuff was cheaper 3 years ago, when I got started.

so there were 2 versions of the hood?
and the one with the clamp on feature is the latter one?

i wonder if they thought the clamp on was 'better' than the screw on?
