Ok, So maybe it won't be 100 stories, but I do plan to get a few done along the way.

This is 100 rolls of film that I am taking on a six month trip. I'll be shooting with my M2 paired with a voigtlander 35 1.4, Nikkor 50 1.4, and Canon 85 1.9.

The trip started with me going back to my hometown of Saskatoon SK in Canada. Next stop was Toronto ON Canada where a friend offloaded 100 rolls of film to me. Next up is where the fun begins.

Toronto - Poland - Czech Republic - Germany - Austria - Hungary - Romania - Bosnia - Serbia - Romania - Bulgaria - Turkey - Burma - Thailand - Laos - Vietnam - Cambodia - China

All of this is not set in stone as I like to travel by the seat of my pants. All I know is that in two weeks I touch down in Warsaw with no plans other than returning to my job in August.

If anyone is in any of these countries and has tips on where to get good food and beer, or would like to hang out, I am very open to suggestions.

To sum up the advice above: take 2 rolls of film per day - i e 300 rolls at least, cut down the countries to 5 or 6 - I would just go as far as Turkey and keep the far east for another trip. In Poland, Czech republic, Germany and Austria all beer is excellent. As to the food, the first good one is available in Tarvisio - as you enter Italy... But then, maybe my taste is too refined...
 
Well, my 2 cents if you go to my home country Vietnam.
Do not buy anything, do not listen to anyone. If someone asks you to buy something, tell them: I dont buy or you write this sentence "Tôi không mua" to paper and pull to their face, then walk away fast. Do not let you get surrounded. When someone gives you something, hide you hand behind your butt then walk, that's for safety when Trouble can occure. When you take picture, keep a safe distance from the street. After you have done, hide it inside your bag, do not let anyone beside you see the camera clearly.
If you go to Ho Chi Minh City, dont use the taxi in front of the Airport ( Tan Son Nhat airport taxi). When you go out of the terminal, walk to the right for a few hundred meters, there is a stop for taxi from other companies like Mai Linh, Vinasun,...). Take them. Write this "Khách sạn giá rẻ khu Tây ba lô" and let the driver see it, he will know where to take you to and you will get a cheap hotel.
If you want a tour guide, who can provide service for your stay, gives you a hint and a ride to somewhere inside the city, please pm me. I have many friends, who are students and want to communicate in English with you.
Now i am in Germany, I will be back home in June to July or August, and if you visit our country at that time, I will hang out with you.
Well, if you want to hang out in Germany, i can too, but i dont know where i will be hahahaha.

Hmmm, Cutting stuff out will be hard. I live in Beijing and this is the route home. I have already been to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, so I could cut those out of the trip is I need to.

Austria, Hungary and Bulgaria are not the major countries that I want to see so I am not planning on spending much time in them, they are only on the list because I'll be taking trains and will have to travel through them.

As for gear, I am only taking one body. If it breaks or malfunctions in any way, I will just replace it. Not the most economical solution, but I would rather do that than carry a second body. Film, I'll replenish as needed. I hope that this will at least get me half way through the trip. I plan on shipping film back to Beijing a few times along the way. As I do, I'll restock as needed.

i applaud your enthusiasm. A great idea. Carrying a back up camera is really not a bad idea. i carry a small point and shoot digital.. Film is bulky and going thru security may become a nightmare. A few rolls, no problem. i would from time to time shoot some frames on color neg film and have it processed at any 1-hour lab to see your camera is working and focusing OK.Leica like any camera can go belly up.The many countries you mentioned become simpler as that's the way of the train.
There are so many possibilities of stories.The train journey, your own trip, meeting strangers.My last trip, month in South Africa, i left my film cameras in Toronto. Way preferred the simple joys of digital point and shoots. OK i had at my fingertips my daughters Nikon DSLR kit with great lenses.

If you're flying to Bucharest, don't take the cabs from the airport. You'll most likely get ripped off. Try to take the bus (which unfortunately doesn't run during the night AFAIK). Beware at the pickpockets. Otherwise Romania is pretty safe.
Photo & travelwise, I can give you more specific directions, depending on what you're interested in. If plan to visit Bucharest, we could go out for a beer, if I'm in town.
