$100 toy?

I was shocked to see the prices on Ricoh GR-1 and the Nikon 35ti.
As the owner of a Ricoh GR-1, I'm not overly surprised: it's an amazing camera on a number of fronts, and I won't let go of mine. At the same time, there are other really-great "high-end" p/s cameras to choose from as well (most of them already mentioned on this thread). What the extra cash buys you, besides better build-quality, is extra exposure control (the GR-1 has an exposure compensation dial to kill for, as well as the choice of Program or aperture-priority AE, with half-stop aperture control from f/2.8 to f/16...and that's just for starters), and better-corrected glass. But it costs more. Your call.

Shopping is over! I just picked up a new stylus epic kit. Came with a case, strap, battery and remote. I will load it up with some film and play this weekend.
