100mm viewfinder

I have just purchased a Canon 100mm lens. I will be using it on a Canon VL with the automatic parallax adjustment pin. I need a finder for the lens but am unsure of what to buy. Should I buy the all chrome one with manual parallax adjustment and be able to use it on other cameras or the Lumifield finder that links to the adjustment pin. My impression is that it will not have parallax adjustment on non VT/VL models. I think another option is the Leica 90mm SGVOO. Would appreciate your advice.

I have both finders. The brightline unit is much better. If you're primarily using it on the VL, I'd say get the Lumifield and call it done.

Yep, the brightline, parallax-corrected viewfinders for the Canon VT cameras (and others) are top-notch. Much better than the older variety.

I used to see them from time to time on Evil-Bay. Haven't looked in years. I was looking for any good brightline finder and those would come up in my search. Even saw a Canon hot-shoe adapter that would allow for manual adjustment for those who didn't have such a fancy camera.

I'd try Evil-Bay and Goodwill, perhaps some of the collector focused sites. Look at it as a multi-stepped effort. Get a finder you can work with, then look for the exact one you want. I did that and it worked out I was able to sell everything for about the same price I paid. Waiting for the perfect viewfinder can be, well, long in duration.
