anyone knows what happens when you shoot 120 but the back plate is on 220?

The film plane is off by just enough to make you photos not tack sharp. If you shot closed down quite a bit it might have helped but your focal point was not accurate as 220 has no paper backing and 120 does, the film plate compensates and adjusts for that.

I was 14 shots through a roll of 160VC 220 in a Fuji GA645 when I realized that I forgot to change the pressure plate to 220. I immediately wound through the film so as to not risk taking any more pics that would end up looking soft. I was fairly shocked when I got the roll back and saw that all of the pics were still tack sharp. Most were probably shot around f8, so that might have something to do with it.
