135 f4.5 Steinheil Munchen lens

I just saw one for sale and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it? It is a LTM

It's a "Decent" lens, big and slow. I had to thicken up the RF cam on mine, it was a bit worn. 135mm lenses tend to go cheap, and there are a couple of 135 F4.5 Hektors for sale in the 35mm Classified here. My Hektor has a better build quality over the Steinheil lens. I paid under $50 for the Steinheil.

I have heard that the Steinheil 85mm is nice.

I found some digital images that I made in 1980. Fortunately, I took some slides of the screen. The 7-Track (yes) 800BPI tapes are long gone...

I bought this lens and kept it for one month, then sold it for the $70 that I bought it for. I did not impress me at all. I prefer my Nikkor 135mm/3.5 and Canon 135mm/3.5. The Steinheil looks rather inferior to me.

I tried the Steinheil 135 on my Leica IIIf and made some respectable photos, but could never get comfortable with the small view through my Imarect Finder when using the 135. I have since obtained a Steinheil Culminar 85mm f/2.8 and found it to be a very nice lens. See an example of the images at:
