I don't have a 135 Hector lens, but I do have a Wollensak 127 and if I were to use it on my VI-T I think I'd also be sure to use this accessory grip at the same time. I think it would make using the camera a little less cumbersome.
I have a similar Canon camera and I have the same grip as AlwaysOnAuto's photo shows. That Canon grip has that little "CANON" plate that -- when the grip is screwed into the Canon camera -- presses against front bottom of the camera body such that the grip cylinder cannot rotate. The Canon grip is screwed into the Canon camera body using the small part at the bottom of the grip that rotates, as the threaded rod extends the entire length of the grip. But any camera grip with the same thread can be used; for example, I believe this grip that Adorama sells would thread into the camera body (but obviously I haven't tried it myself). https://www.adorama.com/cmvc1608.html
