Hey all.
Just saw http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost-classifieds/showproduct.php/product/18731/limit/recent
in the classifieds, and I'm considering trading, as sometimes, my 15mm is just too wide. What do you guys think - should i trade, or try to keep learning with my 15mm?

Lens choice is subjective. I wouldn't let anyone tell me what lens works best for me.
If you don't like what you're getting from a 15mm lens, it would make sense to trade it.
However, if you can, try a 21mm and see if you like that. Otherwise, your next question will be whether you should trade the 21 for a 28 or for another 15.

What other lenses do you have? What do you like to shoot? Your responses to these could influence any intelligent responses.
I also own a 50mm, and I shoot bands, parties, and photojournalism style.

back to basics
for full frame I'd prefer 21 to 15mm. 21 is a beautiful 'size'. But it is highly personal.
And as a second besides a 50, 15 is very extreme.

I like both, but for photos with people in them, the 21mm seems manageable, whereas the 15mm is hard to handle and can be highly distorting. Again, depending what you like and are using it for.

I agree that it is extreme, but my style is, use the 50 for straight portraits, 15 for everything else.
I'm also worried about regretting the trade later on..

I have a 21 and want a 15, but I won't give up the 21. Ultimately, I'll have both. I don't imagine I'll use the 15 as often as I use the 21 but I am finding my self wishing the 21 were wider a bit more often lately.
I think it might be a reasonable trade but will guess that you'll miss the 15. That guess is based on you asking about it--speaks to some uncertainty already.
Could you negotiate a "trial period" and see how well you get on with the 21?
Good luck,
Rob
