Which do you (directed at the OP) think you would use more often based on your shooting style, and how you see the world?

i use the 15 more but am thinking about getting another 75.

i spent part of yesterday studying images made by the 15 and 21 cv lenses on an rd1...and was surprised when i realized that i prefer the 21 to the 15...the 15 has it's place in my bag but i much preferred the 'look' of the 21.

today, i will be looking at images made by the 75/rd1 combo.

No frameline is a big problem for me. I have trouble focusing the 75mm on the r-d1. I have tried many. So now I am mainly using cv 35/2.5 along with the cv 15.

When I had my RD1s, I used to shoot the CV 75mm a lot more than the CV 15mm. I've always liked the 105mm FL for casual portraits and the FOV of a 75mm on an RD1 is close to that. For some reason, I just could not get used to a 15mm on an RD1s -- somehow not wide enough nor long enough.

When I had the RD1s, my most used lens was the CV 35/1.2, followed by a ZM 25/2.8. And if I had already owned a ZM 18mm by then, I 'm sure it would have gotten a lot of use as well.

for those of us shooting with the rd1...if you have both the 15 and 75 mm lenses...which do you use more often.
Let's put it this way, I use the CV 15/4.5 on R-D1 more than the CV 75/2.5 on the M8. I have tried the 75 on R-D1 only (okay, a bit more...) to test the focusing (which is fine). Lack of dedicated framelines has kept me from using the lens, but I would have certainly learned it if I did not have the M8 and a film body. I probably should anyway. Good camera, good lens.

Lack of framelines would put me off though I've never tried one. I use a 50 only occasionally as I'm not much of a long lens user. Even 35 is too long, much preferring a 28. My most used is probably the 15. I like to get in amongst a crowd to shoot with it.

I use the 90 with the RD1 and Mega Perls Mag 1.3x easy to focus but need to experiment in framing the shot with the lens and I assume the 75 as well.

I have both, the 15 and the new VC 75mm. They are so different in many aspects, that I can not see, how one can choose one over the other. I really like the 75 for portraits (but preferably on the M9) and I like the 15 on the R-D1 for landscapes. But I also use both on both cameras, but always for totally different subjects.

I would say, in your case, you absolutely need both of them! ;)
