OK,OK so I was not sure about this lens...I am still not 100% as I have had no chance to compare it side by side with another proven glass, but I tellyou, I am in LOVE with this baby!

The shot below is a friend putting a tattoo on my arm yesterday. While inking the left, I had my right on the camera shooting. The ability to shoot from 14 inches and on and the wise angle of this lens, coupled with the nice light fall off and vignietting got me some (IMHO) great results!
Love it. There. I am very happy with it.

Wonderful shot, GeorgeF! I use hyperfocal on other lenses, but with the 15mm I've always just guessed at the distance. I found that I was much more accurate than I would have thought, but the scale is very forgiving anyway.

I believe your lens could be faulty.

It is sharp on an RD1s. Shot at f8 ISO 200.
