Since getting my XP2 I've been very impressed with the body and, particularly, using it with the 35/2. Although I've not used a zoom lens for a few years I'm thinking about adding one for use as a holiday walk around lens. Probably the 16-55 f2.8.
Has anyone used this lens, ideally on an XP2, and can comment on its usability compared to the 35/2. I'm most concerned about focus behaviour - is it clunky like the 18 and 27, or silent like the 35. I presume speed will be there, but comments welcome, and any other handling observations.
I presume it draws nicely, but again comments welcome. Also, I prefer to avoid software correction as far as possible, so as I can't work out how to disable, any comment on the underlying optical performance would be interesting too.
Cheers

Has anyone used this lens...
Originally, I created my Fuji X system for shooting in low-light situations without flash. I use the X-Pro1 with 16mm f/1.4, 23mm f/1.4, and 56mm f/1.2 lenses. I was so pleased with my Fuji X available light system that I began using it for other subjects such as close-ups, flash portraits, travel, and landscapes. I recently added the Fuji 16-55mm f/2.8 to my inventory for the times when I do not need to carry three fast prime lenses.
Since I do not have the X-Pro2 or the 18, 27, or 35mm lenses, I cannot make comparisons. However, I can recommend the Fuji 16-55mm f/2.8 is an excellent "holiday walk around lens."
I also recommend considering the less expensive 18-55mm f/2.8 to f/4 Fuji with image stabilization. The only reason I did not select it was beause I prefer lenses with:
1. an aperture ring
2. a constant f/stop vs. a variable f/stop.

The weather resistant Fuji 18-55mm f/2.8 plus the weather resistant Fuji 50-140mm f/2.8 is a perfect pair.

Thanks Narsuitus
I'll think about the 18-55 also. Should probably add the 18-135 to the review list, but my age leaves me doubtful of its optical capability...
