This is not a test!!! Not scientific!!! The focusing is probably not great. However, posted for interest. Note this was shot with the RD-1 so cannot be held up as how these lenses might perform on 35mm. Just an everyday shot. I won't say which is which yet, just let you guess. One of the lenses cost me £145, the other £370, so not a HUGE price difference. Both shot wide open, the 50 summarit at 1.5 and the 50 'cron and 2.0. I also have to say that one of them is easier to focus than the other. Both shot at ISO 800.

I would guess the one on the left is the cron, and the one on the right is summarit. My computer screen is too old to see differences in dof, so I am going solely on impressions of lighting qualities. When will we know?
 
The Picture on the left seems to show "Summarit Swirlies". Otherwise, the shot on the right has lower contrast normally associated with the Summarit.

But those swirlies are hard to shake. Lens used on the left is the Summarit.

Whichever, the '50s Summarit can turn out some nice shots.
 
1.5 is on the right. It has the "glow" and more shallow debth.

I wish you could have done both at 2.0 with the same pose.

The center of the Summarit is quite sharp. Problem is it is a small area. As designs progressed thru the years, the center sharp area increased to where it covers almost all the frame.
