Yep. There is something very special about a good Kiev isn't there?
Thank you for that page, BTW. Great work, just like the rest of them.

You've shown the lens and camera off well!
Did you have a hood on it? There seems to be very little flare, and snow tends to make that very hard to control.

Nice pictures !
Nice pictures !
Hello everybody.
Yes Kievs are great !
Yes they can take marvelous pictures !
Yes they can have flare problems but then ?
I have several Kiev, all before 1957 and they are great performers, most of the time I only shoot B/W. I developp my own pictures in my bathroom darkroom, no negative scans, just paper scans.
I didn't knew there was such wonderful and affordable cameras before I purchased my first and developped first roll. I got sharper pictures than my father's Nikkon 's lenses !
I had a maximum of three as you can see on the picture bellow:
I sold one, kept the two others but converted one of the IIIa in a IIa with a wreck I purchased in USA...
Zorkis are great too, but they need to have the lens to film distance checked ... (it's always wrong)
So I'm glad to share some talk with Kiev's lover !
Please have a look at my galery and give any critics you want using the link !
